Connecting the two Fajãs is a hiking trail of 4.3 km of wild untouched nature. This hiking trail with breathtaking views is one of the most famous trails of São Jorge island and the Azores. The trail extends to the top of Serra do Topo and the most common hiking practice in this trail is to start at Serra do Topo and make your way down to the Fajãs. 

 

Casa da Arcada sits at the end of trail (in the direction Serra do Topo - Fajã dos Cubres) which means that if you choose to hike this trail in this direction, you will have a home waiting for you at the end of the trail, how cool is that?
